Newage started its manufacturing with House Wiring which is used for electrification in houses and offices etc. These are single and multicore insulated wires in copper conductors. Initially, these wires were manufactured in imperial sizes conforming to BS:2004 standards, which has been replaced by metric size wires conforming to BS:6004 standards

Low/1000-volt copper or aluminium conductor cables are manufactured with both PVC and LPE insulations. Cables are available in single and multicore, armoured with galvanised feel wires or unarmored. They are manufactured in accordance with IEC: 60502-1 standards.  In accordance with IEC: 60502-1 standards. Low voltage cables with mica taped conductor and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheath are also manufactured against special orders.


Medium Voltage Cables are manufactured in various voltage categories i.e., 1900/3300 volt, 3300/6000 volt, 6350/11000 volt, 8700/15000 volt, and 12000/2000 volt. Cables are manufactured with both copper and aluminium conductors, cross-linked polythene (XLPE) insulation and copper tape screen armoured or unarmored. Sheath material can vary from regular PVC to special FR and/or AT PVC according to customer’s requirement.

Newage has always followed a modular approach to keep the pace with changing requirements and has developed many special products in the process. Newage Fire Retardant and Fire-Resistant Cables are specially designed for sensitive and valuable installations. These cables are manufactured with fire-resistant mica tape and low smoke and fume zero halogen sheaths. Cables are 600/1000 volts rated and manufactured in an accordance with BS7846 and BS6387 Cat C&W


Newage manufacturers manufacture special instrumentation & control cables used for controlling complex equipment in various industries and substations. These cables are rated 600/1000 volts available up to 61 cores with PVC or XLPE insulation.

Newage manufactures submersible cables with flexible copper conductors. These cables are generally used for submersible pumps and lights.

Newage co-axial cables are manufactured in RG-6 & RG-11 categories and widely used in satellite cable networking. Cat 6 cables are used to data networking.

Newage manufactures general telephone cables up to 20 pairs which are used in houses, offices and shopping malls.
In addition to that Newage is capable of manufacturing any special cable according to customer requirements.


One of Newage strengths, is its capability of manufacturing large variety of overhead conductors. These conductors are used in transmission and distribution of electrical power and Newage is proud to be a part of power distribution to all corners of Pakistan. Newage manufactures copper conductors, all aluminum conductors (AAC) and aluminum conductors steel reinforced (ACSR) up to size 600mm2 following applicable BS, IEC and ASTM standards.

Newage Plastic Plant manufactures Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) which is mainly used in cable insulation and sheathing. PVCs are manufactured in type TI.1 (70o C) and type T9 (90o C) according to BS 7655 standards. In addition to that, Newage also manufactures Flame Retardant (FR) and Anti Termite (AT) PVCs which are used for special cable sheaths. Manufactured PVCs are used in Newage cables and supplied to other cable manufacturers as well.


One of Newage manufacturing and quality control strength is its in-house copper and aluminium rod plants. 8 mm rods are drawn from imported copper cathodes maintaining minimum copper purity requirement of 99.90%. 9.5 mm rods are drawn from imported aluminium ingots maintaining minimum aluminium purity requirement of 99.70%. Both copper and aluminium rods are further drawn into smaller diameter wires according to cable conductor requirements. Newage utilizes manufactured copper and aluminium rods for its internal cable and conductor productions and supplies it to other cable & conductor manufacturers as well.

Galvanized Steel Wires (GSW) are used for armouring of power cables and as the central core for aluminium conductors reinforced (ACSR). Newage has a facility of galvanizing various sizes of steel wires for its internal use in cables and overhead conductors and supplies it to other cable and conductor manufacturers. Steel wires are galvanized in various sizes according to British Standards BS 1442 & 4565 in categories A & B.


Newage has the facility of manufacturing various sizes of copper strips insulated by papers. These strips are manufactured with 99.90% pure copper according to BS 4653 standards and used as copper bus-bars in various electrical products.
